The Ben Davis Conservancy District is continuing to move forward on sewer improvement planning for Bertha and Lucerne.
Bertha was identified as a priority after inspections showed a section of 15-inch main with serious blockage and damage. By June, design work for the Bertha project had been completed, and the next steps were moving toward permitting and bidding. Work related to Lucerne has also been coordinated alongside that planning process.
Projects like these are part of the District’s ongoing effort to address problem areas in a targeted way rather than waiting for a larger failure. Careful planning, design, permitting, and bidding help make sure the right work is done in the right place.
As the projects continue to move forward, the District will share additional updates when more information is available.
