The Future

Our sewage is treated by a plant owned and operated by Citizens Energy Group. In recent years, the group has increased its prices. So when the conservancy announced that it would build a treatment plant to save money, Citizens responded with a $10 million buyout.

About the Treatment Plant

The treatment plant will benefit our community. It will be environmentally friendly – with low or no odor and noise. Our site plan is attractive and adds curb appeal to the Tibbs Avenue area. The plant will be hidden from view, and the grounds will be landscaped with acres of green space. So building a treatment plant is a step in the right direction for our community and future generations.
